A Touch of Pink in the Clouds: The Shard’s Culinary Tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness Month

By Caroline David-Tostevin

This October, The Shard glows in soft shades of pink, standing as both a landmark and a symbol of compassion. In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2025, several of its celebrated restaurants and bars are turning dining into an act of generosity — offering pink-themed menus and experiences that raise funds for Guy’s Cancer Charity, based close to The Shard.

TĪNG Restaurant | “Clouds of Pink” Afternoon Tea

Within the elegant Shangri-La HotelTĪNG Restaurant presents its exquisite “Clouds of Pink” Afternoon Tea — a poetic celebration of colour, flavour, and purpose. Guests are treated to pink-hued pastries, rose-scented delicacies, and a signature Pink Shard dessert, each served against a backdrop of London’s sweeping skyline. Available until 18 November 2025, this experience pairs indulgence with impact, helping fund vital research and care at Guy’s Cancer Charity.

GŎNG Bar | Hope in Every Glass

Also housed within the Shangri-La, the GŎNG Bar honours the month with a thoughtful collection of pink cocktails. The “Hope Ribbon”, a refined mix of Champagne and strawberry liqueur, and the “Pink Promise”, a non-alcoholic blend that shines just as bright, are served throughout October. Each sip celebrates resilience and contributes to the shared effort to support those affected by breast cancer through Guy’s Cancer Charity.

Sky Lounge | “Pink Sky” Brunch

Over at the Sky Lounge, weekends take on a rosy hue with the “Pink Sky Brunch”, held weekly throughout October. This uplifting menu of pastel-toned plates and seasonal flavours invites guests to brunch with purpose — where dining in the clouds becomes a meaningful act of support.

Oblix at The Shard | A Pink Afternoon Tea for a Cause

Completing the line-up, Oblix unveils its own Pink Afternoon Tea, blending the restaurant’s signature refinement with heartfelt giving. A portion of proceeds from each tea will be donated directly to Guy’s Cancer Charity, funding care, research, and innovation for patients at Guy’s Hospital, just across the Thames-side courtyard.

Dining That Makes a Difference

From TĪNG’s clouds of confectionery pink to GŎNG’s sparkling tributes and Oblix’s generous afternoon tea, The Shard’s culinary community has come together in a united gesture of hope. Each table set and toast raised helps to illuminate not only the London skyline, but also the lives of those supported by Guy’s Cancer Charity.

Whether you choose to sip tea among the clouds, raise a glass to courage, or brunch beneath a pink-lit sky, every experience this month contributes to something far greater — a shared promise of care, compassion, and discovery.
